Janus Capital Group Inc. (NYSE:JNS) today announced two promotions effective July 1, 2016 with the aim of strengthening its equity investment team.

Cody Wheaton has been promoted to co-Portfolio Manager on Janus Enterprise Fund and the associated mid cap growth strategy. Brian Demain is the lead Portfolio Manager and has worked with Cody on Janus’ mid cap growth strategy for more than 10 years.

In addition, Scott Stutzman has been promoted to co-Portfolio Manager on Janus Venture Fund and Janus Triton Fund, and the associated small company and small-mid cap growth strategies. Scott has worked with Jonathan Coleman, the lead Portfolio Manager on the Triton and Venture funds, for more than nine years.

Cody, who joined Janus in September 2001, has been an Assistant Portfolio Manager on the Janus Mid Cap Growth strategy since 2014 and is an equity research analyst, primarily focusing on small- and mid-cap stocks within the financials and consumer sectors. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has 15 years of financial industry experience.

Scott became an Assistant Portfolio Manager in January 2014. Since joining Janus as a research analyst in January 2007, Scott has focused on small- and mid-cap companies in the industrials, healthcare and consumer sectors. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has almost 15 years of financial industry experience.
